Have you considered driving for Lyft or Uber? Make sure you do this first...

Updated: Aug 4, 2020

Yay! You finally became a licensed Lyft driver and are ecstatic to make that extra cash.

However, before you get too excited, there are a few things to consider before you can hit the roads.

First and foremost, let your insurer know.

Due to the increasing popularity of companies like Lyft and Uber, many auto insurance providers are now opting for a different kind of policy that rideshare drivers can purchase.

This new policy can simply be added on to your current policy, providing you with the safety net that an insurer will cover your claims in the case of a potential accident. If you fail to inform your insurer, expect absolutely no coverage and a cancellation on your claim.

Let us know here at AZ Insurance Team, and we'll do all the work for you. We'll get you set up with a new policy, and help you make that extra cash!
